PGP-Cloud Computing is a 6-month program offered online with live mentored sessions on weekends. Is the program online?

What is the eligibility criteria?

No.

Who is the faculty?

What is the extent of hands-on exposure? Are there any live projects?

The program includes various real-time projects and a detailed capstone project. You will analyze a real-world problem using a range of tools & techniques that you have learned in live classes. The duration of the capstone project is 2 months.

How does the virtual lab look like? Is the access to virtual lab available even beyond Sundays?

The virtual lab exposes you to the appropriate technology – a real-life environment, not a simulation. For instance, in the phases of the program where you’re working on AWS, you will have access to AWS and when you’re working on Azure, you will have access to the Azure platform. You will have defined lab timings that give you plenty of time to work on the lab. Each week’s lab environment and appropriate configurations have to be set up to suit the scenario, so it is not ‘always on’.

What if I miss the Lab session?
You are expected to make necessary arrangements to attend all the class and lab sessions. If you miss a lab session, you will not have an opportunity to make up for the lab at a later time. As you can appreciate, this is logistically infeasible, as the class would’ve moved on to the next section.
Do I get any hard copies in terms of study material?

All the requisite learning material is provided online through the Learning Management System. Candidates are free to purchase any reference books or material as may be recommended by the faculty.

Is the content downloadable? How long is the Olympus access available?

No. The content is not downloadable. However, we believe that learning should be continuous and hence, all the learning material in terms of lectures and reading content would be available to you on the LMS even after the completion of the course.

How will I be evaluated during this Program?
PGP-CC is a holistic and rigorous program and follows a continuous evaluation scheme for your hands-on work. While you receive feedback on your lab submissions, your performance in projects will be graded.
What kind of career assistance do I get?

You are provided career support through resume workshops and interview preparation sessions for cloud computing job roles. Relevant career opportunities with leading companies are also shared with you.

What is the program fee? Is loan facility available?

Can I pay the fee in instalments? Is there any discount?

What are live mentored sessions? What if I miss any session?

Live mentored are interactive Q&A sessions conducted on weekends for students to clarify their doubts with faculty and connect with other students for knowledge sharing. You can re-attend the missed session in the form of recorded video.

How are the live mentored sessions conducted?

All virtual sessions are conducted through Zoom, an online collaboration platform. During mentor session, using chat feature, you can ask questions directly to faculty members, share messages and useful links with your classmates as well.

Do I have to attend classes every week?

The program is designed to engage participants every week. All participants are required to learn from videos and to attend live mentor sessions every weekend. However, attending lab support hours are optional and you can attend it only in case you need clarify your doubts regarding the lab exercise.

What if I miss a project submission?

All projects are mandatory evaluation components. If you miss a project, you need to re-enrol into the same course and repeat the project.

Do I get any support for AWS certification exam preparation?

Many PGPCC participants have been successful in achieving AWS Associate Architect certification even before their program completion. Successful PGPCC participants regularly share their insights, tips and tricks for passing AWS certifications. Over time, we have carefully curated a priceless repository of such insights, best practices, list of web resources (both paid and free) and personal experiences that will help you immensely in preparing for your own certification.
