System Administrator

A system administrator is responsible for the installations, configurations, operation of computer systems, repairing of the servers and networks. System administrators are also called sysadmin. A system administrator's key responsibilities are to take care of user accounts, permissions that are to be granted to the users, access rights, and storage allocations. They have to offer technical support to the client whenever there is any troubleshooting in the hardware and software problems, especially related to server and storage devices. Most importantly, they have to monitor and maintain the network servers like file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
