The Data Science team at Netflix has open-sourced its Metaflow Python Library which is a key part of the ‘human-centered’ ML Infrastructure it uses for building and deploying Data Science workflow. According to the Software Engineers at Netflix, Metaflow was built to help boost the productivity of its Data Scientists. The main idea behind Metaflow was to allow Data Scientists to see early on whether a prototyped model would succeed during production. This allowed them to fix the issue and speed up deployment time. Metaflow can also be used with popular Python libraries such as- Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc. A description of Metaflow is available on their website metaflow.org.
