PGPM-Executive Program Structure

The PGPM-Ex uses a combination of learning methods that include classroom teaching,webinars, self-learning through videos and reading material, team-based problem solving and exposure to industry experts. These learning methods are carefully and deliberately chosen for various components of the program based on their suitability to achieve the learning objectives of those components.

The PGPM-Ex curriculum is based on the three pillars that every manager today has to be competent on:

Data driven decision making - We believe data is the future and our focus is to train you being an excellent data driven manager. Hence Data driven decision making is the underlying foundation for all managerial courses that you will learn.

Be a Specialist. Choose from a bouquet of industry driven specialisations such as Analytics, Digital Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain and Finance

Increase your people effectiveness. There is a method and science on how the best organisations and the most effective leaders go about dealing with people. This is the science and art of People Effectiveness and Leadership that you learn at PGPM-Ex.

The Program is organized in a modular architecture that enables the learner to take charge of the learning objectives, timing and outcomes. The program comprises

A) General Management Modules

The PGPM-Ex program begins with General Management modules organized as Foundation and Intermediate modules. These modules help the candidates develop an overall understanding and appreciation of the basic building blocks of business. Further, candidates also get familiar with the language and context of business to appreciate various business problems that are typically encountered in practice. Each of these modules is designed to be completed in about 4 months.

B) Specializations

All specilizations will be held in Gurgaon/Chennai Campus of Great lakes Institute of Management. Candidates can choose a specialization based on their career growth objectives. A large selection of specializations is offered to choose what suits you best. The courses in the specializations are very practically oriented and intended to give exposure to real world problems that are encountered and to develop solutions to these problems.

C) Capstone Project

Candidates need to complete an integrative project on a real world business problem in the area of their specialization and develop and present a comprehensive solution. It will be evaluated by Great Lakes faculty or industry professionals.

D) Career Enhancement Module

This module focuses on several non-academic aspects critical to successful career growth including self-awareness, interviewing skills and career counselling, which will help participants understand themselves better and to plan practical and realistic career paths and transitions. It is delivered through a combination of workshops, reading material and team work.

c) Specializations

Candidates can choose one specialization from the following list. There will also be a capstone project that will have to be completed in the chosen specialization
